Pricing

You pay exactly what the provider lists.

Open Mine doesn't mark up hardware or hosting for clients. Every miner's sticker price is set by the provider; every $/kWh hosting rate is set by the provider; every payout from your pool of choice follows that pool account's payout rules. No subscription, no platform fee added on top of what you see.

Three numbers determine what you pay.

01 · Sticker

Hardware price, set by provider.

Each miner on the marketplace has a price the provider chose. You pay that price, once, debited from your prepaid balance the moment you buy. The miner moves into your account; the hosting agreement starts the same instant.

02 · Hosting

Provider's $/kWh, billed daily.

Each provider publishes their hosting rate up front on their profile page. Nameplate daily charge is rated_kW × 24 × $/kWh. Settlement uses Stratum Router delivery data when it is available, so confirmed delivery shortfall scales the hosting fee instead of relying only on the nameplate number. A miner sold prepaid-for-life has a zero hosting rate and is never billed for hosting. See live hosting prices by model.

03 · Revenue

Your pool account receives the mining revenue.

You configure a pool account with the username and stratum destination that pool expects. Mining revenue follows the pool's payout settings — Open Mine doesn't hold custody and doesn't skim.

Hosting fees move with actual delivery, not promises.

How Open Mine prices track actual delivery — and what to look for when comparing direct- provider contracts:

Daily-debit, no contracts

Hosting is charged only for the days you run.

Hosting bills daily from your balance — no annual prepay inside the platform. A miner that is not mining, including one you switch off yourself, is charged the storage fee shown on its listing instead of the hosting rate. The provider sets that fee, and it can be zero.

Proportional to delivery

Undelivered hashrate isn't billed.

We scale the daily hosting charge by confirmed router delivery data. If delivery data is missing, settlement can defer until the data arrives; if the router confirms a shortfall, the bill scales for that day. Delivery above the rated capacity is billed only up to a small margin, currently 10%.

Diversification

Different providers, different prices.

Power is cheaper in some jurisdictions, redundancy is better in others, lead time varies. Open Mine lets you spread across providers in one balance — pick the price point or jurisdiction mix that fits, change it any time.

No surprise fees

Buying and hosting cost what the listing says.

A purchase and its hosting carry no setup fee, no "hardware insurance" bundled into hosting and no monthly platform charge: you are billed the price, the hosting rate and the storage fee on the listing. Every cent moving in or out shows up as a single ledger entry on your balance page — auditable any time. Other actions carry their own charges, set out in the Terms. They include selling a miner (a 5% fee on the sale price, charged to the seller, and a fee for cancelling a listing early), a refund of unspent balance (the actual transfer cost is deducted) and physical pickup of a machine (the provider's pickup fee).

Illustrative numbers — actual figures depend on the miner and provider you pick from the marketplace.

Day 0 — purchase

Listed price

  • You see one number on the listing
  • That number, debited from your balance, once
  • No markup added at checkout
Daily — hosting at 100%

~$4.20/day

  • 3.5 kW × 24 h = 84 kWh/day
  • 84 kWh × $0.05/kWh = $4.20
  • Full nameplate; delivery above it is billed up to 10% more
Daily — hosting at 95%

~$3.99/day

  • Router measured 95% of nameplate that day
  • Bill scales to 0.95 × $4.20 = $3.99
  • You don't pay for what wasn't delivered
Daily — revenue

varies

  • Depends on network difficulty, pool luck, BTC price
  • Lands according to your pool account's payout settings
  • Hosting auto-debits from your platform balance

The miner above is illustrative — pick the actual unit + provider on the marketplace for the exact $/kWh and listed price you'll pay. Real network conditions move daily; the hosting math above is what stays fixed given your provider's rate.

One ledger, every cent visible.

Deposits, purchases, hosting and storage charges, withdrawals — everything posts as a single double-entry row on your balance page. If the math doesn't add up, it's obvious instantly. Mining rewards are not part of the balance: your pool pays them to you directly.
