The short version
We collect the minimum needed to run your account, bill hosting, and keep the Platform secure. We share it with the Provider that hosts your miner and with the companies that run parts of the Platform for us — nothing more. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers. You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time.
Open Mine is operated by Everminer, LLC, a Delaware (USA) company — “the Operator”, “we” — which is responsible for the personal data described here. The roles of the Operator, the Providers, and you are explained in our Terms & Conditions. Contact details are in section 9.
We never take custody of your Bitcoin, and we do not ask for full bank-account or card numbers — payments are handled by the payment companies described in section 4.
We use personal data only to:
We process this data to perform our contract with you, to operate and secure the Platform, and to comply with law. We do not use it for advertising.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where it is needed to run the service:
Some of these companies are located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, so your data may be processed there.
We use essential cookies — they keep you signed in and let core features work — and one first-party campaign cookie: when you arrive through a tagged link or from another site, we remember that source for up to 90 days so that, if you create an account, we know which campaign or site brought you. It holds no identity and is deleted at sign-up. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but blocking the essential ones will stop you from staying signed in.
We keep account, marketplace, and ledger data for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as we need it to meet accounting, tax, and other legal obligations — then we delete or anonymise it. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period, for security.
You can access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or ask us to delete it, and you can object to or restrict some processing. Much of this you can do in your account settings; for anything else, contact us. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Note that we may need to keep some records even after you close your account, where the law requires it.
Open Mine is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if we learn that we have, we delete it.
We may update this policy; material changes are posted on this page, and where a change is significant we notify account holders. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at max@openmine.io.
